xkit crashes Firefox Issue 1484 new-xkit/XKit - GitHub
I've had issues with Firefox like the anon that got answered today: went through the whole troubleshooting shebang similar to what they did, but when I tried the fix given on the blog, that didn't work either. I finally bit the bullet and did a clean Firefox reinstall today with installing Xkit being the first thing I did after opening Firefox. The install worked and everything was as expected. However, when I went to reinstall my extensions and get my settings back in order, Xkit stopped working. I started uninstalling the extensions one by one but that didn't do anything. I did another clean reinstall. I always have private browsing mode on Firefox and never had an issue with it on Old Xkit. When I reinstalled New Xkit and turned private browsing on without doing anything else, it stopped working. Turned it off and it started working again. Turned it off and on again and fiddled with the other custom history remembering settings to be sure, but it still ended up always being an issue with private browsing.Another person has already reported that Xkit isn't allowing Firefox to run it in private browsing mode a week ago: #118 I, like them, would appreciate being able to use it while in private mode. (by dexeonify) Usually, bridge errors mean you’re using the wrong XKit version for your Firefox version. Here’s the compatibility table: Firefox 50 and earlier: use New XKit 7.7.5; Firefox 51 - 56: use New XKit 7.7.8; Firefox 57 (Quantum) and later: use the Latest Release; new xkit reply mod april submission Posts Ask Submit Main Extension Page Support Archive hoenniswheretheheartis asked: By the way, is it possible to add 'schedule', 'preview on blog' (and though kinda superfluous 'save' for edits) to the post options, in addition to the three you've already got in that fix? Perhaps by holding down the alt key? I'm actually becoming quite fond of having the reblog options separated like this haha. I know a lot of people have mentioned that they like separating out the buttons, but I think it’ll become too unwieldy if we have 6 separate buttons: publish, draft, queue, private, schedule, and preview. So we’re actually going to restore the save button to the dropdown that it used to be.The separate button thing though might be something we could put into Tweaks or a future extension. We’ll think on it some more. mod xumbra hoenniswheretheheartis See more posts like this on Tumblr #mod xumbra #hoenniswheretheheartis More you might like Anonymous asked: Hi! I was wondering if there's a list of all the extensions that new-xkit has? Also is xkit editor still a thing with the new-xkit? The closest thing we have to a comprehensive list of extensions is our source code, but you can also look through the My XKit and Get Extensions tabs to see all the extensions. And yes, the XKit Editor is still a thing! mod xumbra extaeminator asked: hey, would it be possible for an extension that turns text posts back to how they used to be, without all the icons showing up and such? i had old xkit previously and had a custom script installed to do this but i forgot to save it when i removed xkit after its recent failure. mod xumbra ericvilas asked: Help, I have a major problem with Edible Reblogs!
