Two more games today (notice since the ability to post images, the number of games I'm posting has dropped. :( sorry about that. still, as Midori says somewhere, there's too many to play, or words to that effect. Both of today's games have an air of simplicity, but quality about them. I realize I've already posted some match three games yesterday, and now we have another one from the same genre; however, it's not the same type of match three game. I was actually going to include it in Mondays selection, but decided it was time I cut down on the number of games I post each day.The second game is one of my favorite board game genres, Mah Jong. I used to play Mah Jong in preference to chess when I was younger. I bought quite an expensive mahjong set that I still have (bamboo and resin), though it's unfortunately stored up in the loft and I can't get up there any more. I'd love to introduce my children to a proper four player game (I have a four player computer veron called Hong Kong Mahjong, but it's not the same playing on the computer. There's nothing like the clatter of the tiles on the table, and the tinkle of bones when you're passing out your losses {or winnings}). Though a solitarire game is just as relaxing. I hope you enjoy both games. :) MyJongg II (2.4Mb)This is a classic remake of the ancient My Jongg solitaire game. There are six tile sets and 10 play modes with different layouts. The developers have written a Layout Editor, which will be released in the future version to help you build your own Layouts, so be sure to save the download link to your favorites to be sure to get the next version. Some features such as High Scores do not work yet, but will be implemented in a future release. You’ll note on the images that there are no backgrounds, which makes the game look rather stark, however you can add these from your own images or download them from free sites on the web. You can use any .BMP file on your hard disk as a background. To change the background: Click with the right mouse button on the picture in the option menu. To change the background color: Click with the left mouse button on the picture in the option menu. The goal of the game is to remove all 144 tiles by finding and discarding matching pairs of tiles.Download MyJongg II HERE-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Delerium v1.1 (12.6Mb)You, as a player, control a cannon which can catch a falling ball - and shoot it at those nasty blocks. When the ball hits the top of the screen - or a block - it becomes a block. When three or more blocks of the same color are connected to each other, they disappear. You shoot those balls and try to form groups of three-or-more blocks, thus clearing the level; bit by bit.
