Microsoft Ultimate Word Games (known as Wordament on iOS and Android) is a word puzzle game published by Xbox Game Studios, first released for Windows Phone as Wordament on April 24, 2012.[1][2] The game was relaunched in June 2017 with two new game modes, Crosswords and Word Twister (first known as Jumble).History[]The game had the distinction that allows optional access to online leaderboards through the Xbox Live service from all platforms, including iOS and Android devices.[3][4] Through the service, the game gives out achievements and the associated Gamerscore as reward, even if the user is using a non-Microsoft device.[5][6]Rules and gameplay[] Microsoft Ultimate Word Games Trailer ESRB In Wordament, the goal is to find words by highlighting adjacent or diagonal letter tiles in sequence. Words must have at least three letters and cannot be abbreviations or proper nouns. To make a word, select any tile and drag through adjacent or diagonal letter tiles to make words. Each tile can only be used once per word. Some tiles have two letters or unique characteristics. Double letter tiles with a slash between them can work as either letter, otherwise if there are two letters they are both used. A dash after a letter is a prefix tile. Prefix tiles can only be used at the beginning of a word. A dash before a letter is a suffix tile. Suffix tiles can only be used at the end of a word.In Word Twister, the goal is to make as many words as possible using the given tiles. Words must have at least three letters and cannot be abbreviations or proper nouns. To make a word, click or drag tiles to move them above the rack and press the Check button. The Bonus Twister is an extra puzzle players can unlock by finding the three words with keys next to them. Players can solve by using all the tiles given. In Crosswords, the goal is to find answers for all of the given clues. Divided into two lists, Across and Down, clues often involve trivia, word play, or brain teasers. To answer a clue, highlight the grid space by clicking on the clue in the list. You can also select any square in the crossword grid and click the square again to swap between highlighting Across and Down clues. Type in the missing letters to fill in the answer. You can check any letter, answer, or the full grid at any time with the Check button. Correct letters will become green while wrong ones will be marked with a red strike.References[]↑ Brier Dudley (March 19, 2012). "Boggling success of Microsoft's Wordament app". The Seattle Times. If you have them use a hand mirror while practicing, they’ll not only see if they’ve got the correct mouth position, but they’ll also notice if they spray. This gives them the chance to work on reducing any wet emphasis without dampening anyone’s face. Play minimal pair bingo.Yes, bingo works for almost everything! Here’s how to transform it into a TH-pronunciation activity.Use a blank BINGO template and fill it with /θ/ vs. /s/ minimal pairs. Create enough bingo cards to have one per student, making sure that the words on each are randomized. Then, type up all those words you used in a table, print, cut out, and mix together in a small container. Give each student a bingo card. Drift throughout the room, going from student to student to let them draw a word and read it aloud. Don’t let them spell the word; their classmates must listen carefully so that they hunt for and cover the correct word. Once someone has a “bingo”, they have to read aloud all the words that make the bingo. That extra pronunciation practice lets you check that they really won. Treat them to the thrilling tongue twister tournament. Now this TH-pronunciation activity has a twist! Pair up the students and challenge them to create a tongue twister using as many TH words as possible. You can narrow it down to /θ/ vs. /s/ or keep it to /θ/ vs. /ð/. Be sure to give them a time limit. Once time is up, have them exchange their tongue twister with another pair’s tongue twister. Round 1: Current pairs of students compete against their partners to say the tongue twister as quickly but accurately as possible. Round 2: The winners of each original pair get paired up and compete against each other using the tongue twister from a third pair (a tongue twister that neither has written or practiced before).Round 3+: Continue as in Round 2 until only two students are left.Final Round: The last two remaining competitors are no longer competing against each other. The new challenge is for them to be able to say a tongue twister together. If they can, the entire class gets a small prize. (Hey, adults like prizes just as much as kids do!)Use YouTube videosAs I’ve already mentioned, using YouTube videos before, during, or after a class is basically like inviting a colleague to teach a segment of your class. Teaching with videos made by others is invaluable when it comes to pronunciation because it exposes your students to voices/accents other than your own. You don’t want them to get so used to how you say words that they have difficulty understanding anyone else.

FDS (Hips detections) is you can do an online scan with the file. On quite a few 0 day malware when it checks on line it confirms its a trojan etc. Anyone know how it does this. Its a really useful feature?CheersJlo Tony Registered Member Does anyone have any news on the upcoming version 8 release of Twister?I beleive the new version was due for the end of the year.Maybe they meant the end of the Chinese new year The Twistee forum has been down for a while now as well. According to kafan forum the V8 beta will be available in February Here are some "teaser" screenshots (just 2 of them since other skins look awful IMO) icr Registered Member Joined: Sep 6, 2008 Posts: 1,589 Location: UK Will it be available in English language.? Tony Registered Member Thanks for the info quanzi_1507 icr, they have for years always produced an english version as well as a chinese with both their firewall and antivirus so i can see no reason for this to change in the future, especially not now that they are part of VB100% tests. I'm not sure about the BETA (Rising AV had an English version for beta testing, so maybe Twister will have one, too), but as Tony's said the final version will be available in English. Thanks, i like the new GUI. Have you read by any chance any information as to when the x64 version will come? Thought id try twister again today ,unfortunatley on this vista 32 laptop i get a bsod whenever i try a quick scan as reported by some other users. The only software that may conflict that im using is ZA pro ,appguard or admuncher. In fact without even performing a scan and clicking appguard tray icon caused a bsod.Minidump says one of the bsods was caused by appguard, however the other two blamed microsoft windows system files.Ive no doubt that twister is the root cause of all bsods,as i havent experienced any bsods until i installed twister a few hours ago.ellison Bright Chu, He solves all your woes, Perhaps someone will be nice enough to PM Ellison his email. why is it when i download something for example i was downloading Windows 2000 pro SP4 it got to 96% and twister killed the file because it said it was supisous or something. whats the deal, twister flags safe DL's ? has anyone ran into this issue? Brock "Suspicious" means it's not signature detection and Twister doesn't have http scanner. So i will repeat this: right but i was on the defult setting nothing was changed by me. If you 're on default, then i don't know how this is possible to occur, since Twister has no HTTP scanner and "suspicious" can't be triggered by the signature scanner, but only by the behaviour blocker, registry protector or advanced options (those not reccommended). And since the file wasn't trying to run, the behaviour blocker and registry protector can't have been triggered either.Unfortunately
