OFFICIAL RELEASE: InfoView - InfoView Data Solutions

You can use the Roadway InfoViewer to view and edit a roadway and any features that are attached to it, such as markings, lanes, assets, other roadways, and even work orders and inspections. The Roadway InfoViewer consists of three main sections: If your agency is using Infor Public Sector GIS, the GIS View section at the top shows a map of the current roadway. Below the GIS View is a schematic of your roadway and the attributes and other roadways that are attached to it. Below the schematic is a ruler that measures the length of the roadway and the locations of roadway features. Below the roadway schematic is a list of all the features that can be attached to the current roadway, and work order activities and inspection types that can be performed. You access the Roadway InfoViewer by clicking the Roadway ID link for a roadway in the Roadway Lookup, or by right-clicking the roadway's node in the Asset Browser and selecting Open Asset. Reference points can be a great help in locating points along a roadway when using mile markers would be impractical. For example, if your agency has a work order to install a call box, it may be easier to tell the workers to install the call box one-quarter mile north of a specific culvert than to tell them to install it at distance marker 294. The reference point is displayed on the ruler as a flag icon. When you edit features, a display-only field called Reference Point indicates how far the feature is from the reference point, such as 14.5 mi N of element ‘CallBox’. Note: A roadway can have only one reference point. If you specify a second reference point, Infor Public Sector replaces the first reference point with the new one.
