Forum Video Authoring (DVD) DVDComposer - Illegal Resolution Thread--> Member Ive spent hours making a lovely animatedmenu for a DVD project and now its time to add the video tracks. The files were avi so I used WinAvi to convert to MPG2 which apparently is one of the formats DVDComposer will accept (the menu and a smaller sample video I tried worked ok) but after it spent 5 mins adding the video track it spits out a 'Video is not DVD compliant:Illegal Video resolution. Now in WinAvi you can set resolutions manually when converting but Ive no idea what res to set it to, if that is the problem, i thought it would simply accept my video now that it is MPG2.I also used the DeMux tool that comes with DVDComposer but it still gives illegal resolution error and Im stuck for answers.I dont want to waste all these hours for nothing, please help, thank you in advance. Take a look at WHAT IS - DVD top left, for specifications of Video DVD mpg....and WinAVI is considered one of the worst samples of payware video converters out there./Mats Member Thanks, Im thinking its just a case of me re-converting to the correct aspect ratio for PAL 4:3.And WinAvi is Trialware not Paywareas it says in this very site Originally Posted by RSAntilles OK, got me. Sorry if it isn't.Anywho, i recently purchased the DVD authoring program DVDComposer. The program works perfect and I've had hardly any difficulty using the main features. However, my problem comes when I attempt to 'build' the DVD...i constantly get this following error message....Error M027: Unable to write a video pack to program fileDoes anyone here know what this message means and if there's any way around it? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated....Cheers!Xian Tianhan. Member 1) make sure you have a LOT of free space where you are building the disc.. you will need 2x the amount of space the disc requires (I suggest at least 10gb free for a 4.3gb disc).2) make sure you are using 1.0.33) if you are using Womble to edit your video, make SURE you are using the latest version or grab a copy of ReStream and pass they M2V file thru it and have it 'remove end sequnce codes' (earlier versions of MVW would leave an extra end code in there an confuse the muxer.
