When organizing a virtual Family Feud event via Zoom, you can create your own questions and answers to personalize the experience. Setting up is straightforward: create a free Zoom account, schedule a meeting, and invite participants. For both in-person and virtual versions, the game process remains the same: teams composed of family or colleagues provide answers to survey questions, aiming to guess the most popular responses. You can customize the game further using online tools that provide buzzers and timers. To initiate gameplay, divide participants into teams, survey them for questions, and have the host present the questions for exciting rounds of guessing. Whether for family game nights or workplace events, Family Feud offers endless entertainment, ensuring that the event is filled with laughter and competition. Is $880 per team. The registration fee only covers participation in the tournament. It does not cover transportation, lodging, food or other expenses. Buzzer Discounts Teams who bring a working buzzer system to the tournament will be eligible for a $30 discount on the registration fee if it meets NAQT’s national-championship standards. There may be some surprises in that policy! Please read it in advance to make sure your system qualifies. Unless otherwise approved by NAQT, no team may receive more than four buzzer-system discounts. Timing NAQT will only award the discount for buzzer systems that it receives by 9:30 p.m. Friday and may keep until 7:00 p.m. Sunday; if you cannot commit to those times, do not register to bring a buzzer system! Early Buzzer Dropoff While buzzers will be accepted at Friday-night check-in, NAQT will also accept buzzers earlier than that. We are particularly grateful for buzzers dropped off early, as they help us set up rooms for scrimmage games. Buzzer Return NAQT will begin returning team-provided buzzer systems at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday (and not before, except in emergencies). As mentioned above, this might make it impractical for teams planning to leave as soon as they are eliminated to receive buzzer-system discounts (as their systems will not have been returned at that point). Buzzer return will stay open until very shortly after the awards ceremony. If a team knows in advance they will be unable to pick up their buzzer system in time, they should make special arrangements at check-in; barring other arrangements, unclaimed buzzer systems will be left with the hotel bell desk. Other Discounts Teams attending both this tournament and the Small School National Championship Tournament will receive a $125 discount on their HSNCT registration fee. PaymentFor teams registered by a verified official school coach, payment is generally due by the start of the tournament and will be accepted at check-in, though we strongly prefer earlier payment. NAQT reserves the right to require earlier payment in specific cases. For teams not registered by a verified official school coach, payment—or confirmation of payment plans from such a coach or from a school administrator—is required within one week of registration. To request an invoice, once you have entered all the information that can affect costs (but not necessarily entered your roster or other information that doesn’t affect cost), at the bottom of your registration page, click “View Cost.”Simple Online Buzzers for Classroom

You can now buy a new accessory for your Amazon Echo, and this one is destined to add an element of fun to any family get-together. Called simply Amazon Echo Buttons, these simple little gadgets allow up to four people to compete against each other using the power of Alexa. And now the first accessories for the Amazon Echo have arrived to draw you in even further. Like Buzzers From a 1970s Quiz Show The new Amazon Echo Buttons are exactly what the name implies. They're buttons the size and shape of hockey pucks that can be pressed like buzzers from a 1970s quiz show. And they can be used to determine who gets to answer first in multiplayer games played through your Amazon Echo device. Amazon is offering a handful of games at launch: Beat the Intro requires you to name that tune, while Sounds Fun rewards players for correctly identifying sound effects. Buzzer Beater is a trivia quiz based on basketball, while Fourth Down Football is a trivia quiz based on football. The Amazon Echo Buttons are now available to pre-order, with shipping beginning on December 19, 2017, in time for Christmas. A pair of Amazon Echo Buttons are priced at $19.99 at launch, but does include the two AAA batteries they need. Four Amazon Echo Buttons can be paired at one time. If not, why not? Are you interested in the new Amazon Echo Buttons? Have you pre-ordered? What sort of games would you like to see developers create for the Buttons?
