To replace mine with the original which is google it only has two which is bing & yahoo. First of all I do not have any of the addons that it says i have on my computer secondly , Browser addons do not usually have any thing to do with addons. This is happening in a payed latest version of avast antivirus. Like I said before I have used avast for a long time and I cant believe that they would stoop this low to try to make money off people that dont know much about computers and have them install browsers that they should not have to replace in the first place, Just so they can make a buck… I sure hope that screwing people isn’t the write way to go. I want to see why a lot of schools use this. Do I have to uninstall Avast! Home Edition before I install McAfee VirusScan Plus or is it compatible? I just want to see why schools use this insted of Avast! Home Edition. In my experience, schools use McAfee and Norton because they don’t know any better. The two schools that I manage use Avast I don’t know if they’re compatible though. If the VirusScan Plus is only an On-Demand scanner, then it shouldn’t be a problem. If it’s real-time, then heck no. As Eddy mentioned above all 4 points especially number 4 (that’s a staggering number of malware being made and it’s very important for antivirus software to keep up with these malware affecting user’s computers and laptop. If you disable automatic updates forever for your avast every new threat that comes up avast won’t be able to recognize the threats that comes onto your computers making avast think that your computer is clean which in fact it can’t be clean (it’s like not maintaining your car for a very long time and driving your car as you may be sure it’s running in good condition, which in fact it won’t be in good condition and you go to car repair workshop just to find out it’s got tons of issues). I suggest you to keep automatic updates “ON” for vps updates at all times and as for program updates select “ask when an update is available”.I have never heard of a user wanting to disable automatic update.
